Home Renovations Sydney
Are you contemplating a renovation of your home?
We are seasoned experts in home renovations with over 15 years’ experience under our belts. We take the stress out of the whole process and manage the entire project of your home renovation from beginning to the end. Rest assured, your direct point of contact will be with us directly the entire time, meaning no time wasted dealing with multiple tradesmen .
A key question we receive a lot is:
Is Council Approval Required?
If you modify the structure of a building or dwelling, you’ll more often than not require council approval to complete your renovation. Some examples include extending the liveable square meterage of your house, building a second story addition, construction of a deck over a certain size, or the addition of a window which looks out at neighbouring properties.
The easiest way to check if your renovation project requires council approval, is to either go into your local council in person or view their website and look specifically for “development fact sheets” or similar.
A lot of the renovations we do for our customers do not end up going through council approval. This being said, we advise that the best course of action pre-renovation is for you to double check what specific requirements there are from your local council to ensure everything is above board from the get-go.
What will my home renovation cost?
Overall budget for the project is one of the most important elements. Overall, factors that can affect the budget required for your renovation include:
The size of your apartment or house
The quality and scope of materials chosen
The quality of appliances, floor coverings, tiles and plumbing fixtures
The easiest path to finding out what your renovation will cost is to get in contact with us. Working in collaboration, we can discuss exactly what you want to get out of your renovation project and can advise on exact costings based on that.
Home Renovations by Room
It’s now time to break down your home renovation on an area-by-area basis, with some input from us on how to increase the value of your home as well as make it more liveable overall. Starting off with the kitchen, it’s a hub of today’s modern home and offers so much day-to-day utility to all occupants of the home.
Kitchen Renovations
With so many styles and options available today, we will consult with you to make certain your beautiful new kitchen ticks all the boxes on your want list.
In simple terms, this means chatting with you around what you would ultimately like to get out of the overall room and space.
Initially we will work with you to craft out a custom plan and layout for your new kitchen, down to the smallest details. This will make sure the finished kitchen will be a perfect match for your lifestyle and living requirements.
Thinking of storage in your new kitchen, you need to consider having enough storage space in cabinets (both overhead and lower), as well as overall pantry size. Maybe you’d prefer one of today’s hot ticket luxury items as seen in renovation shows on TV like The Block, a butler’s pantry. Anything you dream up; we can create for you.
You’ll also need to consider the overall colour scheme and materials used for your cabinets, with polyurethane or poly, and laminate being the two most commonly chosen options in Sydney. Complimenting your new kitchen cabinets, will be the most used part of any kitchen, the benchtops. We can assist in choosing out the perfect material and colour benchtops to suit your layout and cabinets selection. In Australia, the most common benchtop material chosen in middle to high end kitchens is Quartz, commonly referred to as Caesarstone. If you are on a tighter budget, laminate may be the better choice.
Bathroom Renovations
Another key room and well utilised area of any home is the bathroom. In terms of renovation planning and procedure, a bathroom renovation is actually quite similar to that of a kitchen as they both normally require the same tradesmen to complete and feature similar materials.
We can assist with creating a custom layout for your new bathroom that will truly be a sanctuary to relax in after a long day. A few common trends in modern bathrooms include walk in showers, single panel shower screens with hidden fixtures, freestanding baths, and in-wall mounted toilet cisterns. We are up to date with all modern bathroom materials and trends and can advise on what could best suit your needs and budget.
Living Room Renovations
If you have an older style home which features several separate rooms, considering the update to a more modern open plan style arrangement is a must.
Combining the kitchen, dining and living rooms into one open space is an excellent way to create the impression of more space. These 3 areas can be separated by using furniture and accessories to clearly define each space. The impact achieved from removing a wall is truly amazing, and one of our most regularly completed renovation tasks is that of opening up the kitchen, dining and living rooms via this method. We can consult with you on which walls make the most sense to remove, and if walls are structural or non-structural.
Laundry Renovations
The planning and layout of modern laundries should be functional to optimise storage space while combining practicality of daily use.
Thought needs to be put into which appliances will be housed in the laundry, or whether it will be a simple washer and dryer setup. Perhaps you would like some custom joinery installed like a wall mounted ironing board. With our skilled team, anything is possible.
Premium kitchens, custom designed and built to your specific requirements.
From design to build, our team will ensure everything is perfect for your new bathroom.
High-quality constructed granny flats, customised for your space.
